Instabridge Speed Tests
We tested Instabridge eSIM during our recent trip to the USA.

The experience was great, and we found the speeds to be fast across different connection types.
We ran multiple speed tests in various locations. We used the eSIM on different devices to see how performance varied.
Here are our test results:
The 5G connection delivered the best speeds, which makes sense. The cool thing is that Instabridge partners with the major US carriers – AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
You have on par local coverage with US users across the country. The truth is that Instabridge has a reputation for choosing quality local network providers.
That means you can be confident in the reliability of the eSIMs that Instabridge provides!
My eSIM connected to AT&T, and I experienced great service the entire time.
Download speeds were easily fast enough for streaming 4K videos online and making video calls. Upload speeds worked well for sharing photos and files in both emails and WhatsApp.
Hotspot connectivity and performance were also solid on both devices.
The laptop connection stayed strong even with multiple tabs open. The iPad hotspot handled streaming and browsing without issues.
Latency was great across all tests, which made for a stable network. I even connected my Nintendo Switch and was able to play Overwatch 2 online. Cool, right?
Here are the average speed test results that I had:
| Connection Type | Average Download | Average Upload | Latency |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5G | 108 Mbps | 42 Mbps | 348ms |
| Laptop Hotspot | 86 Mbps | 34 Mbps | 382ms |
| iPad Hotspot | 82 Mbps | 34 Mbps | 368ms |
© Two Tickets Anywhere. Speed test results in USA.
The speeds that we got are expected from a quality eSIM provider like Instabridge. They matched what we had read online and we were very happy with the performance overall.
The only thing I noticed was latency…
Latency was very high. This typically affects things like video calls, where low latency is important. In saying that, I tested a video call and had no issues at all. Even when gaming online, I don’t notice any issues.
The truth is that I was really happy with the speeds and performance reliability that I got with Instabridge. It’s exactly what you need when traveling!
Instabridge Plans & Pricing
Instabridge keeps their pricing simple with clear data packages for different countries and regions.
In most locations, they offer:
- 1GB
- 3GB
- 10GB
- 20GB
These are all designed for different types of trips, depending on the length and data usage needs.
The truth is that we found this streamlined approach refreshing compared to providers that hide fees or complicate their plans. It’s straightforward and easy to understand.
That’s exactly what you want!
Individual Country Plans
The biggest benefit of using a reliable eSIM provider like Instabridge is that you avoid paying excessive roaming charges.
So, pricing is an essential part of any eSIM provider review.
How much do single-country Instabridge plans cost?
Instabridge pricing starts at as little as $2 for 1GB. To give you more of an idea, I put a table together with prices and plans for popular countries below:
| Country | Plan Durations | Data Amounts | Plan Types | Price Range USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| France | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $2 to $16 |
| Spain | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $2 to $14 |
| United States | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $2 to $18 |
| Italy | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $2 to $16 |
| Turkey | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $2 to $18 |
| Mexico | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $4 to $39 |
| Thailand | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $1 to $12 |
| Japan | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $1.50 to $24 |
| Vietnam | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | One-off, Pay-as-you-go | $3 to $28 |

Not bad, right?
Compared with a lot of other eSIM providers, Instabridge offers some of the most affordable data plans I’ve seen.
And because they cover so many countries/locations, you should be able to get reliable and affordable data for almost any trip. That’s awesome!
The only downside is that most of their 20GB data plans are only valid for 7 days, while the 10GB plan is valid for 30 days. That’s something you definitely want to check out before choosing a plan.
The truth is that Instabridge offers great value for money!
You can buy quality, affordable data for pretty much any location you need. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Regional and Global Options
Taking a multi-destination trip?
Instabridge has you covered with their regional data plans:
| Region | Destinations Included | Plan Durations | Data Amounts | Price Range USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Europe | 34 | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | $2.80 to $29 |
| Asia | 21 | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | $2.50 to $24 |
| Latin America | 17 | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | $12 to $140 |
| Global | 116 | 7 Days to 30 Days | 1GB to 20GB | $8 to $68 |
© Two Tickets Anywhere. Prices current as of August, 2025.
The Europe regional and the Global data plans are standouts.
First of all, Europe includes 34 different countries, starting at just $2.80 for 1GB. That’s very good!

I also like the Global eSIM package. It includes a massive 116 countries around the world and starts from as little as $8.
If you are traveling through multiple countries/regions quickly, this is a great option. I’ve used global eSIM plans even when we’ve had stopovers because it means we’ll have data in the stopover country.
And each plan supports hotspot sharing with up to 10 devices. This feature works great for families or business travelers who need to connect multiple devices.
The only issue I found was that Instabridge doesn’t list all the countries included in each regional plan on the product page.
I had to Google to find out exactly how many countries and which ones. The last thing you want to do is to purchase a regional data package only to find out it doesn’t include a specific country when you arrive.
Although Instabridge doesn’t have as many regional plans as other providers, the ones they do have include a huge number of destinations and are extremely affordable.
If you’re traveling to Europe, Asia or even on worldwide trips, there is a lot of value here.

Key Features
Instabridge isn’t just like every other eSIM provider out there.
They offer three unique features that make them stand out from their competitors.
Instabridge Browser: iOS Data Compression Tool
Do you find you use mobile data too quickly?
The Instabridge browser helps users extend the usage of their data by up to 10x.
Here’s how it works:
Think of the Instabridge browser as any other phone browser like Safari or Google Chrome. Except it has one powerful feature…
The Instabridge browser compresses website files by up to 70%.
When you visit a website, the site files (images, text, code etc.) are rerouted through the Instabridge servers and compressed. That means it costs you less data to view those files on your device.
This will:
- Help you use less data overall
- Load websites quicker (even on slow networks)
- Save you money in the long run
We found this feature useful when we were staying in a house that had thick walls. The internet signal was very weak on the inside.
With the browser, we were still able to load sites even with the low signal!
Instabridge WiFi Map With 20M Hotspots
Instabridge’s WiFi finder map feature gives you access to over 20+ million verified community-shared hotspots worldwide.

The app can automatically connect you to verified networks and helps you avoid slow or unreliable connections.
The map works best in major cities with more WiFi networks.
We’ve used it to find reliable WiFi in airports, cafes, and hotels without having to ask for passwords or deal with sketchy public networks.
The community aspect means the database keeps growing as more users share hotspot information. And they’re able to keep the speed, network quality, and security details updated as well.
These features make it easy to make smart choices about which networks to join and which to avoid!
TTA Tip: Protect yourself and your data online by using a trustworthy VPN service like NordVPN. This stops criminals from hacking networks and getting access to your device.
Real Pay As You Go Plans
This is one unique feature that I absolutely love about Instabridge…
They offer pay-as-you-go plans.

What does that mean?
Instead of paying for a set amount of data for a set period (1GB for 7 days, for example), you pay per gigabyte and it doesn’t expire!
Cool, right?
You can load credit and use it whenever you travel, without worrying about unused data disappearing after a set time period. I haven’t seen this feature with any other eSIM provider.
The best part is that the data is still affordable…
For most countries, you can expect to pay $2-$3 per GB.

That’s not much more than you pay for the set plans. The benefit is if you travel to a country frequently, you can buy the data you need and don’t need to worry about expiry.
It’s an innovative approach to travel eSIMs that I think a lot of people will benefit from!
Keep in mind that pay-as-you-go is only available for individual countries. Instabridge currently doesn’t offer them in regional plans.
Our Experience With Instabridge
So, now you have a good understanding of what you get with Instabridge.
But the big question is…
How was our experience with Instabridge eSIMs?
The bottom line is that it was good. But let me show you…
Website & App User Experience
To start with, buying an eSIM is very straightforward.
The website is easy to navigate and selecting a plan is as easy as choosing the country and using the slider on the right to select the amount of data you need.
As soon as you checkout, you will receive a QR code.
Scan the QR code with your phone camera, which will prompt you to download the Instabridge app.
The last step is simply installing the eSIM onto your phone. The Instabridge app makes this an absolute breeze.
The truth is that the entire process takes less than 5 minutes to do, which is great if you’re in a rush or need to install at the airport.
What about the app specifically?
The Instabridge app is intuitive and easy to navigate.
You have three main screens:
- Buy Data – Buy a new data plan directly in the app or top up your old one.
- My Data – Track the data usage of all your data plans.
- WiFi Map – The map of all the free WiFi networks around you.

I’ve tested a lot of eSIM apps, and Instabridge is one of the best!
It’s smooth, well-thought-out, and has all the information you need to manage your plan on the go. I like that you can clearly and easily track your internet usage, which makes data management so much easier!
There is one cool feature that stood out to me…
When you’re buying data, Instabridge gives you an estimate of how long that will last you.
For example, 10GB can provide:
- 130 hours of browsing
- 250 hours of music streaming
- 20 hours of video
Cool, right?
It helps you estimate the amount of data you will need for your trip!
And the fact that you can buy eSIM data through the app makes it very convenient to use while traveling. Combine that with the WiFi map, and you’re essentially never going to be without internet.
It ties all the Instabridge features together nicely!
Customer Service & Support
Customer support is not one of the strongest points of Instabridge.
There is no live chat function in their mobile app or on their website.
You can contact the Instabridge support team by:
- Email – Email them directly at support@instabridge.com
- Support Ticket – Create a support ticket on the app using the chat function
In both cases, you will get responses through email. Instabridge does have an AI agent that you can chat to about any issues you’re face. ALl of the information is pulled from their extensive knowledge base.
It’s actually surprisingly good and my guess is this will solve 90% of any potential issues you’ll face!
How long does it take for a real customer support human to respond?
It took them 14 hours to respond to my question:

My experience echoes what others have said online, with average response times seeming to take between 3-24 hours. That’s far from ideal if you’re stuck in a foreign country and need support now!
We did find that their customer support responses were helpful and want to solve problems. The staff seem knowledgeable and caring!
The chances of running into any issues with Instabridge are low. The entire process of buying and installing a travel eSIM is one of the best I’ve experienced.
But it’s good to know where you’re at in terms of support if there is an issue!
Who Is Instabridge For?
After reviewing Instabridge extensively, there are a few people who will get the most out of their service:
The truth is that Instabridge won’t suit everyone, and that’s okay.
If you only visit remote areas with poor WiFi coverage, the hybrid approach of data + WiFi loses its advantage. Instabridge also doesn’t offer unlimited data plans, so heavy data users who stream videos constantly might need an alternative.
For the rest of us (which is most people), it’s a great option!
Our Final Thoughts
Here are our final thoughts…
Instabridge delivers solid value for travelers who want affordable data without breaking the bank.
Their pricing structure beats most competitors, especially in key tourist countries across Europe and Asia. The regional plans are also a nice value-for-money bonus!
The WiFi map and data-saving browser are genuinely useful extras that help stretch your data usage and budget further.
The biggest downside is customer support and unlimited data plan options.
But for most travelers, Instabridge ticks all the right boxes. It’s definitely an eSIM provider that we will continue using going forward!
